Binge drinking is up at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus. The University has been taking surveys on on student drinking for 14 years, and this past year, more than 45 percent of respondents say that they participate in binge drinking in the two weeks preceding the survey. This, despite stepped-up efforts to educate students about the problems with excessive drinking.
New government findings released today indicated another troubling trend. More young women are using marijuana, alcohol, and cigarettes than young men, counter to the trend that drug use is down overall among young people.
