Bar owners in St. Paul have filed suit against the stricter smoking ban which was approved by the St. Paul City Council, and is meant to go into effect on March 31.

Attorney Pat O'Neill says the lawsuit is designed to protect establishments who have already invested money to comply with Ramsey County's partial smoking ban, which went into effect a year ago.
