Paper press endorsements
As the election nears, newspapers across the state are adding their two cents by endorsing the candidates they favor.
Thus far, papers like the Star Tribune, the Albert Lea Tribune, and the Mankato Free Press have endorsed DFL candidate Mike Hatch for governor.
Newspapers in Rochester, Duluth, Worthington, Moorhead, Bemidji, Alexandria and St. Cloud have endorsed Gov. Pawlenty.
One paper, the St.Paul Pioneer Press, has endorsed Independence Party candidate Peter Hutchinson.
