Gopher hockey teams are winning big

Dan Monson will no longer be coaching the Gopher men's basketball team. With a two-five record, Monson accepted a buyout package yesterday. Assistant coach Jim Molinari will take over for the rest of the season.

While the basketball team regroups, the Gopher hockey teams are going into this weekend's games on a winning streak. The men are ranked number one in the polls and have won their last four games, and the women's team has won every game they played in November.

Cathy Wurzer talked with Doug Woog, the former Head Coach for the University of Minnesota Gopher men's hockey team, about coaching at a large University and the success of the current gopher hockey teams.
