More space exploration is in our future

NASA is planning to put astronauts on the moon, in a permanent lunar research base. If approved, it would be the first time Americans would be on the moon since 1972.

A Minnesotan who is no stranger to space travel is in town making appearances in an effort to generate excitement about space travel.

Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper returned this fall from a successful 12-day mission that repaired and improved the power of NASA's International Space Station .

Cathy Wurzer talked with the St. Paul native about her experiences and the future of space travel.
