What went wrong on the Arctic expedition?

To the Arctic, but not this year
Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen landed on Canada's Ward Hunt Island last Tuesday, when they began their expedition. On Saturday, they decided to suspend the journey and return to Ward Hunt Island.

Explorers Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen are on their way home. They had to end their trek to the North Pole after series of mishaps. First, a plane accidentally landed on some of their gear. That caused damage to one of Arnesen's snowshoes. That damage, combined with extremely cold temperatures, caused frostbite to develop on Arnesen's toes.

MPR's Tom Crann talks with Bancroft.
