Doctors on drug company payrolls, legitimately

The state receives information from drug companies about which Minnesota physicians they pay each year.

Dr. Diane Wilson is one of the physicians receiving payments. She is a psychiatrist in private practice in St. Paul. According to a report from pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, the drug manufacturer paid Dr. Wilson more than $67,000 in 2002.

MPR's Tom Crann spoke with Dr. Wilson about the practice of being paid by pharmaceutical companies.
