Weather Service seeks severe weather spotters
In spring the National Weather Service invites the public to become volunteer weather spotters. Free classes are offered around the region. The "SkyWarn" program helps meteorologists track severe weather by adding eyewitness accounts from the ground to radar and other computer forecasting systems.
