80th anniversary of Lindbergh's trans-Atlantic flight

Minnesota-native Charles Lindbergh made his historic non-stop flight from New York to Paris 80 years ago today. Lindbergh landed at Le Bourget airfield after more than 36 hours, by himself, aboard the Spirit of St. Louis.

Lindbergh's flight not only made him one of the most famous celebrities of all time, but it also changed the way we travel.

MPR's Tom Crann spoke with Charlie Pautler, director of the Minnesota Historical Society's Charles A. Lindbergh Historic Site near Little Falls about the man behind the flight.
