Child, two adults shot during soccer match

(AP) - A 10-year-old child and two adults were shot at a soccer game when an argument ended in gunfire.

None of the injuries from Thursday night's shooting appeared to be life threatening, police said.

Lt. Scott Nadeau said the child and one of the adults appeared to be innocent bystanders.

The shooting happened about 8 p.m. near the Osseo School District's Adult Education Center. About 200 people were at the game, which was part of a Liberian soccer league.

Nadeau said one group of people confronted another group and a dispute began. Classes were going on at the education center, and staff members put the building on lockdown after they learned of the shooting.

Two people were taken into custody, Nadeau said. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
