If you're a regular listener to All Things Considered, you know the work of storyteller Kevin Kling. His compelling stories can be just the jolt you need while waiting in traffic.

Kling's frenetic tales combine a childlike wonder with forays into the bizarre, and they bring back strong memories of our own childhood.

Now Kevin Kling has translated his storytelling to text. In "The Dog Says How," he shares more stories from his childhood, as well as reflections prompted by his 2001 motorcycle accident. MPR's Tom Crann talked with Kevin Kling about his new book.
