DWI enforcement to step up on Thanksgiving eve

Law enforcement officers will be on the lookout for any drivers who hit Minnesota's roads impaired tonight.

Last year, two people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in Minnesota on the night before Thanksgiving, and three motorists were seriously injured.

According to the Department of Public Safety, 352 people were arrested in Minnesota for DWI on Thanksgiving Day and the night before in 2006.

Patrols will be on the roads tonight in the metro area and areas across the state -- looking for drunken drivers.
