(AP) - Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. has named Jack R. Ohle as its 15th president.

Ohle is currently the president of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. He'll succeed James L. Peterson, who is retiring after five years as Gustavus president. Ohle will start July 1, 2008.

Gustavus says that while at Wartburg, Ohle oversaw the completion of more than $100 million on capital improvements while emphasizing the school's social mission.

During Ohle's decade as president of Wartburg, the student body grew larger and more diverse while relationships with alumni and parents improved.

Gustavus Adolphus is a private college in St. Peter, Minn., with about 2,500 undergraduate students.
