Minnesota Republicans Norm Coleman and Tim Pawlenty are scheduled to speak the GOP national convention in St. Paul.

According to the Republican convention schedule, U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman will speak on the third day of the event, the theme of which is prosperity.

Also on that day will be an address by presidential candidate John McCain's as-yet-unnamed running mate.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty is widely believed to be on the short list for vice president. Pawlenty is scheduled to speak on the final day of the convention, Thursday Sept. 4. The theme of that day is peace.

President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney will speak on Labor Day -- the opening day of the GOP convention.

Democrats hold their convention next week in Denver. Minnesota U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar will speak there. DFL Senate candidate Al Franken will not.
