Highway 100 once again open in St. Louis Park

Part of southbound Highway 100 is once again open after having been shut down in St. Louis Park because a tractor-trailer hit the Minnetonka Boulevard bridge this morning. Minnesota Department of Transportation spokesman Todd Kramascz said at about 8:15 this morning a truck carrying heavy equipment hit the Minnetonka boulevard bridge over Highway 100.

Kramascz says MnDOT bridge inspectors examined the structure to see if it was damaged and posed a safety risk.

"They discovered that there was none, and they are going to remove some of the loose concrete on that bridge, and are in the process of cleaning that up now, right now the right two lanes are closed. I saw the vehicle it looked like it was carrying some sort of heavy equipment," said Kramascz.
