Socialist candidate for president in Minnesota this week

Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barak Obama are getting most of the attention for this year's presidential race. But Minnesota voters will see five other names on the presidential ballot this November.

One of those candidates is Roger Calero of the Socialist Workers Party. His running mate is Alyson Kennedy.

Calero also ran for President in 2004, and he was a candidate for U.S. Senate in New York two years ago.

Minnesota Public Radio's Tom Crann talked to Calero about the sudden government involvement in the financial markets and the Socialist Workers Party's social and political priorities.
