Producer Dave Isay collects StoryCorps in new book
You've heard the Story Corps stories here on Minnesota Public Radio. They're intimate, provocative and compelling stories of regular people captured in the Story Corps booth. The booth even made its way to Minneapolis not all that long ago.
Family members and other people with stories to tell go into the booth and record them. Many have been played back on Morning Edition and other shows. Some of the stories have been collected in a new book "Listening is an Act of Love."
The book is edited by the producer behind Story Corps, David Isay. He's here in the Twin Cities on an author tour and he joined Tom Crann to talk about the book and the StoryCorps project.
