A St. Paul coffee shop will display photographs of the Republican National Convention submitted by members of the public.
Organizers of the show, called "Looking Back, Moving Forward," say they already have about 50 pictures submitted for display at the Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar in Lowertown.
Curator Nigel Parry says he doesn't know how many pictures the show will attract, nor what they might show, but it's clear the RNC had an impact on the city.
"The RNC put everyone in a weird spotlight. A lot of people who have lived here for many years felt the RNC was kind of foisted on them," said Parry. "What we are trying to do is give people a place to say something in a very visual, easily understandable way."
The show is fashioned after similar exhibits in New York following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The show opens Jan. 3 and runs through the end of the month.
Members of the public can submit pictures in person, or e-mail them through a link on the Black Dog's Web site.
