Dangerous wind chills plunge temperatures

Stiff winds across central Minnesota have produced wind chills approaching 40 below zero.

The National Weather Service has issued wind-chill advisories through noon today. The agency says morning temperatures will be in the single digits to teens below zero.

Temperatures are expected to rise above zero by noon, but plunge below zero again tonight, with wind chills in the range of 20 to 30 degrees below zero.
