Southern two-thirds of Minn. under air advisory
(AP) - The southern two-thirds of Minnesota is under an air pollution health advisory.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency issued the advisory. It runs through midmorning on Thursday.
Cities in the advisory include St. Cloud, the Twin Cities and Rochester.
The MPCA says air monitors indicate fine particle concentrations are increasing throughout the state.
Air quality may become unhealthy for sensitive groups, such as people with heart or lung disease, the elderly, children, and people who exercise vigorously for extended periods.
Air quality is expected to improve Thursday as a cold front enters the region, bringing westerly and northwesterly winds.
