U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke addresses the country's economic crisis at the National Press Club.

Bernanke succeeded Alan Greenspan as chair of the Federal Reserve on February 1, 2006. Previously, he taught at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, was a visiting professor at New York University, and went on to become a tenured professor at Princeton University in the Department of Economics.
