U of M frat row gets ready for TCF Stadium
Frat row is getting ready for the return of football to the University of Minnesota campus when the new TCF Bank Stadium opens this fall.
University Chief of Police Greg Hestness says Greek houses near the stadium will see an increase in foot and vehicle traffic during games.
Fraternity members are aware that they need to have a plan in place.
Jake Schwartz of the Interfraternity Council says increased activity will cause a need for additional security, which the houses will try to deal with themselves.

Greek houses also plan to take advantage of the increased foot traffic by hosting fundraisers each home game day. Those typically include a charge at the door for food and, occasionally, entertainment.
The Gophers play their Sept. 12, 2009, opener against Air Force at TCF Bank Stadium.
