One of Gov. Tim Pawlenty's top behind-the-scenes cabinet members is leaving to head a Better Business Bureau.
Pawlenty's office says Administration Commissioner Dana Badgerow will resign on May 11.
Badgerow has headed Minnesota's Department of Administration since October 2004, a post she also held from 1991 to 1993 under Gov. Arne Carlson.
Pawlenty says Badgerow has focused on making government services leaner, more effective and easier to use. She led the Governor's Drive to Excellence sub-cabinet.
Badgerow was previously an executive at MTS Systems Corp. and Honeywell Inc. Her new job puts her atop the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota.
