Duluth soldiers to be deployed to Afghanistan

(AP) - The Minnesota National Guard says 187 members of the 114th Transportation Company out of Duluth will deploy to Afghanistan.

They are scheduled to leave for training in June on a one-year deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Their primary mission will be to provide convoy security and ground transportation for allied forces throughout the country.
