With Minnesota's only confirmed case of H1N1 flu tied closely to a school, parents are understandably curious about detecting flu symptoms in their own children.

All Things Considered's medical analyst Dr. Jon Hallberg told MPR's Tom Crann that it's much harder to tell if a child has the flu because children don't have necessarily have the vocabularly to communicate how they're feeling.

Hallberg said it's easy to mistake signs of illness, but confusion can be cleared up with a call to a nurse or clinic.
