3 Minn. GM franchise dealers to close

Three GM franchise dealerships will close this summer in Little Falls, Pine River and Wadena.

The three dealerships have been in the Dondelinger family for years - about 15 years in Little Falls and Wadena and about 25 years in Pine River.

Roger Dondelinger says the decision, announced Tuesday, is a cost-savings measure in a down market. He also expected those locations to be cut by GM.

Last month, GM announced it would close up to 1,200 dealerships in the country. GM's announcement about which dealerships will be closed is not expected until this summer.

Dondelinger says the Wadena location will continue in the service and used car business and Pine River will sell used cars.
