Arson suspected in Minn. town hall fire

Arson is suspected in a fire that severely damaged the Ravenna Township Town Hall near Hastings.

Firefighters arrived early Wednesday to find the roof engulfed in flames and the building's southeast corner burning. The fire burned through the roof, which then collapsed.

Officials say the town hall sustained significant fire and smoke damage. No one was in the building.

The state fire marshal's office is investigating, along with the Hastings Fire Department and Dakota County sheriff's office.

No suspects are in custody.

The town hall was built in 2003. Ravenna Township is six miles southeast of Hastings.
