Police identify cyclist killed near Mankato

A bicyclist killed Friday while crossing a highway in Mankato has been identified.

Authorities said 50-year-old Gerard Carlson of Prior Lake was crossing Highway 169 when hit by a car traveling west on Friday night.

Police have said they're investigating the accident, but the motorist is not expected to face charges.
