Moorhead man pleads guilty to burglarizing hotel during flood

A 24-year-old Moorhead man has pleaded guilty to burglarizing a hotel that was closed during the Red River flood fight this spring.

Daniel Orion Opgrand says his memory about the early morning April 16 incident is foggy because he'd been drinking. But he agreed the evidence shows that he committed the felony.

When asked how he broke into the AmericInn hotel in Moorhead, Opgrand said, "I imagine that I broke a window."

The hotel sustained more than $1,000 in damage.
