Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, speaks about recent developments in U.S. national security and priorities going forward.

Mullen discusses how to best accomplish U.S. objectives in the Middle East, how to revitalize the U.S. armed forces after several years of war, and and how to position the U.S. military to be ready to face a range of threats now and in the future.

Admiral Mullen was sworn in as the 17th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on October 1, 2007. He serves as the principal military advisor to the President, the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council.
