Crookston man charged with soliciting underage girl online
A Crookston, Minn., man is accused of trying to lure a minor in Devils Lake via an Internet chat room.
Thirty-six-year-old Gerald Pride made a brief court appearance on the felony charge Monday. Judge Donovan Foughty refused a defense request to lower Pride's $20,000 bond.
Authorities allege that Pride came to Devils Lake on July 3 to meet with an underage girl from the area he had met online. He allegedly used a computer to offer money for sex acts.
