I-94 reopens after fish spill is cleaned up

A highway has reopened after a semi-trailer truck carrying 40,000 pounds of fish parts tipped over in a Minneapolis suburb.

The semi truck rolled over around 2 a.m. Monday on Interstate 94 in Brooklyn Center and the clean-up effort closed parts until around 9 a.m.

State transportation department spokesman Kevin Gutknecht says it happened on the eastbound I-694 ramp to go southbound on I-94 at Brooklyn Center.

Don Zenanko, of the Regional Transportation Management Center in Roseville, says the Minnesota Department of Transportation hauled the fish away and moved the truck, which damaged a portion of the guard rail.
