Franken's staff to travel Minnesota on listening tour
U.S. Sen. Al Franken doesn't have a permanent state office yet, but he's sending his staff on a listening tour across Minnesota to hear from constituents.
Starting Tuesday, Franken staffers will hold listening sessions at city halls and other public buildings in Northfield, Rochester and Twin Cities suburbs including Rogers, Eagan and Lakeville.
Franken's staff plans 66 such meetings during the next three weeks.
Franken was sworn in as Minnesota's junior senator a week ago.
He says he wants to hear what Minnesotans want him to do for them in Washington.
