Andersen Windows factory evacuated due to threat

The Andersen Window corporation's has manufacturing facility in Bayport was evacuated for several hours today.

Company spokeswoman Susan Roeder says the company was alerted to a threat to its factory and headquarters just as business started this morning. She declined to discuss the threat or how it was delivered, but said the company was asking employees to leave the building as a precaution.

Roeder said police from Bayport and St. Paul responded to the scene of the incident and that hundreds of employees were asked to leave the building.

The facility is one of 16 of the company's manufacturing facilities.
