A closely-followed index shows Twin Cities' home prices rose 1.2 percent between April and May.
The Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller National Home Price Index tracks 20 cities. Thirteen of those metro areas showed month over month improvements in May.
All cities reported annual declines in home prices. However, the chair of the index committee says the pace of the price descent appears to be slowing. Twin Cities prices fell about 22 percent from May of last year.
