Small plane crashes in western Wis.

A federal aviation official says a small plane has crashed in Jackson County, possibly injuring one person.

Elizabeth Isham Cory, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said Friday that according to preliminary information, the private Cessna 172 hit a house while attempting to land near Black River Falls, possibly injuring one of the three on board. She says there were no injuries on the ground.

FAA records show the plane is registered to the Rangers Flying Club in Eden Prairie, Minn. A message to the club was not immediately returned.
