MPCA issues air quality advisory for Twin Cities

People in the Twin Cities with respiratory problems should take care on Thursday because the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued an air quality advisory.

The MPCA says increasing humidity and light southerly winds are encouraging fine particle production and transport into the region. Higher winds and thunderstorms Thursday evening are expected to improve air quality.

The air pollution level is predicted to be moderately high on Thursday and the MPCA says those who are especially sensitive to increased pollution should consider limiting outdoor exercise.
