Man arrested in early-morning shooting in Duluth

A 24-year-old Duluth man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man early this morning.

Mario Demon Highler, 31, died after being shot in the head at an apartment building in Duluth. The medical examiner's office has ruled the death a homicide.

Police officials say the suspect will be charged with second-degree murder. He was arrested this afternoon. According to police officials, the alleged murder took place at the suspect's apartment.

The Duluth Police Department is asking anyone with information about this homicide to contact the Duluth Police Violent Crimes Unit at 218-730-5050.
