Search resumes for missing canoeist in Eagan

Authorities have resumed a search for a missing boater in Eagan.

A 23-year-old man was on Burr Oak Lake Wednesday night when his canoe capsized. KSTP-TV reports witnesses heard cries for help from the lake about 10:30 p.m. Rescuers used radar to search the lake, but had no success in finding the man from Iowa.

Dakota County sheriff's officials say the lake is about 9 feet deep and very weedy, which could cause problems for a swimmer.
