Three congressional town hall meetings scheduled

Residents of Minnesota's 1st, 3rd and 6th congressional districts have opportunities to discuss health care reform with their legislators in the next few days.

Republican U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen of the 3rd District will hold a town hall meeting Friday at the Maple Grove High School auditorium. He plans to provide an update on the health care reform debate, and will also take questions and comments from the public.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Organizers have asked that people who plan to attend RSVP either online or by calling Paulsen's office at: 952-405-8510. Registration is for planning purposes, and is not required to attend the meeting.

Democratic Rep. Tim Walz in the 1st District will hold his town hall meeting on Saturday at the John Marshall High School Auditorium in Rochester. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees do not need to register in advance.

Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann in the 6th District has also announced another health care forum. The session is scheduled Saturday, 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., at St. Cloud Tech High School. Attendees do not need to register in advance.
