Art Hounds: Theater Unbound, Rain Taxi Reading Series, Oslo Chamber Choir
Each week Minnesota Public Radio News asks three people from the Minnesota arts scene to be "Art Hounds." Their job is to step outside their own work and hunt down something exciting that's going on in local arts.
This week's Art Hounds lead us to a female-focused theater company, a reading series featuring two women poets and a Norwegian vocal ensemble that contains -- women. No theme here though.

Joey Metzger is a veteran Twin Cities actor. Joey has given his thumbs up to Theater Unbound's "Aphra's Attic: Plays by Early Women Playwrights."
Theater Unbound creates productions that are by, about and for women -- and for everyone else. To see "Aphra's Attic," venture over to the Lowry Lab in St. Paul. It's on stage through Oct. 4.
Juliet Patterson is a Minneapolis poet and writer. She's also an enthusiastic supporter of the Twin Cities-based and nationally-known Rain Taxi Review of Books, and Rain Taxi's reading series.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, the series is bringing Kate Greenstreet and Norma Cole, two innovative, experimental poets from opposite coasts to Micawber's Books in Minneapolis. The reading is free and starts at 7:30pm.
Randall Davidson is a local composer and music educator. Randall sings the praises of the Oslo Chamber Choir, the world-renowned Norwegian vocal ensemble.
The choir is doing a Minnesota tour this weekend, including stops in Moorhead, Minneapolis, St. Cloud, and Northfield. The performance in Minneapolis will be at at Augsburg College's Hoversten Chapel on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
