Play's cancellation risks entire traveling tour
The strange case of a star-studded production of the play "A Christmas Carol" took another twist this week.
The producer of the show, Twin Cities native Kevin Von Felt, planned a touring version of the Dickens holiday classic. It was supposed to play at Minneapolis' Orpheum Theatre in December.
But those dates were cancelled by the theater, which is threatening the viability of the entire tour.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Morning Edition arts commentator and St. Paul Pioneer Press theater critic Dominic Papatola about what happened.
