Authorities identify cyclist killed near Blaine

Anoka County authorities are identifying the bicyclist who was struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle while trying to cross County Road 10 in Blaine.

The county medical examiner's office identifies the victim on Tuesday as 55-year-old Richard K. Tinker of Fridley.

He died of blunt force injuries resulting from the crash on Friday. The death has been ruled accidental.

Sheriff's detective Pat Nelson has said the driver was a 51-year-old man, also from Fridley. Nelson said the driver waited at the scene for police and consented to a blood test.
