Wis. soldier recovering from Fort Hood shooting

The family of a Random Lake soldier injured in the Fort Hood shooting says Amber Bahr was shot in the back and is undergoing tests.

Lisa Pfund says she was relieved when the 19-year-old Bahr finally called Thursday evening. Bahr told her she went running when shots rang out, and didn't realize she'd been hit until she went to an emergency room.

Pfund says it's a big relief to hear her daughter is OK, especially after the call she got from doctors after the shooting revealed few details.

Pfund was previously told her daughter was shot in the belly.

Authorities say Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire at the Texas base Thursday, killing 13 and injuring 30. Hasan was shot four times during the rampage. A military spokesman says he is hospitalized in stable condition.
