Seven Minnesota counties holding H1N1 vaccination clinics
At least seven Minnesota counties are holding H1N1 flu vaccination clinics Friday and this weekend.
Most of the public clinics target kids age 9 and younger. But Crow Wing County in central Minnesota received enough vaccine to expand its clinic in Baxter Saturday to include kids ages 10 to 18 with underlying health conditions, pregnant women and people who care for infants under 6 months of age.
None of the county clinics are charging for the vaccine, but some are encouraging people with health insurance to bring their cards so the insurance plan can be billed.
Vaccine clinics are being held Friday in Hennepin, Ramsey and Todd counties. Washington County is sponsoring three clinics on Saturday. Dakota County will operate two clinics tomorrow. And St. Louis County will hold clinics tomorrow and Sunday.
Times and locations can be found on county Web sites. Some counties are requiring an appointment, while others will only accept walk in visits.
