A St. Cloud-based unit of the U.S. Army
Reserve will be deploying to southwest Asia next month.


      Authorities say the 367th Engineer Battalion will leave in
mid-January and be gone for at least a year. 

Sgt. 1st Class Yoshi
Mura tells the St. Cloud Times that details about the number of
soldiers deploying and the location of their mission will be
released in coming weeks.


      The soldiers will be performing stabilization operations and
force protection.


      The same unit served in Afghanistan from 2004 to 2005.
