Trustee sues bankrupt auto dealer

A bankruptcy trustee has filed a lawsuit against former auto dealer Denny Hecker, accusing him of lying about his finances.

The lawsuit from trustee Randall Seaver alleges Hecker concealed assets, including a luxury condo in Aspen, Colo., expensive club memberships and cash held in a safe.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says Hecker denies the claims and plans to file a formal response with the court. He has 30 days to respond to the lawsuit.

Hecker, 57, filed for personal bankruptcy in June after his auto empire collapsed. His filing says he owes $767 million. ---
