4-year sentence for Wadena man with DWI history

A Wadena man with a history of DWI convictions has been sentenced to four years in prison for refusing a chemical test.

Danny Lee Bettcher was sentenced Thursday in Otter Tail County District Court in Fergus Falls.

The 57-year-old Bettcher has more than two dozen DWI convictions in the past 20 years. He was most recently arrested in May in New York Mills after police said he went through a stop sign on his motorcycle. ---
