Wis. man accused in fatal DWI crash

A Wisconsin man is charged with providing alcohol to minors in a fatal car crash in Washington County.

Prosecutors say Brandon John Hedlund, 21, of Somerset, Wis., bought vodka for his girlfriend, who was driving a car that smashed into a power pole Friday, killing a friend in the back seat.

Hedlund is charged with providing alcohol to a minor resulting in death. He was transferred from the St. Croix County Jail in Wisconsin to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater Wednesday.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the driver, Alicia Rae Haupert, 18, is charged with criminal vehicular homicide for the crash that killed Andrea Barbara Zimmerman, 20, of Stillwater.
