Another snowy, slippery commute this morning

Snow continued to fall Friday morning, making for a slick trip to work for some in the Twin Cities.

Several crashes, spinouts and at least one rollover had been reported so far during the morning rush hour, but traffic was flowing close to normal in many areas.

The interstates were mostly wet with some slippery patches. It was another story on side streets, which were extremely slick. Fish tails were a common sight as drivers tried to turn while traveling on an inch or two of new-fallen snow. Intersections were icy after snow fell on freezing rain from last night.

Light snow was expected to continue during the day Friday. Accumulations were expected to be larger in western and central Minnesota.

The National Weather Service said more snow is coming Sunday and Monday.
